Arguably the most beautiful train journey in the world, one thing I learnt on this holiday is that it’s certainly true that a photo can speak a thousand words and certainly a better job than me! The journey down to Ella was long but time flew so quickly as we were mesmerised by the rolling scenery of the untouched Sri Lankan landscapes. So many photo ops and risking our lives for the gram – leaning out of the carriages and wistfully looking into the distance for one.
